Terry Pratchett

Terry (David John) Pratchett was born 28 April 1948. Terry Pratchett lives behind a keyboard in Wiltshire, where he answers letters in a desperate attempt to find time to write. He used to grow carnivorous plants, but now they've taken over the greenhouse and he avoids going in. He feels it may be time to get a life, since apparently they're terribly useful.

In July 1999 he received an honorary Doctorate of Literature (D.Litt.) from the University of Warwick.

He is best know for the Discworld series, a very humorous fantasy series.
