I just accidentally found this book. I was searching for a book for my report my english subject. I find the cover attractive so I took the risk of buying this book not knowing that it will be good. The decriptions are not enough. Then I started reading this book. Somehow foe unidentified reason I cant put this book down. Ive read it all day until I finished it. Then there I was tears fell down on my cheeks. It is a great fantasy that you will treasure among your books. You will be inspired by Mariss attitude towards justice and courage. This is an awesome book. If you ever find one in you store. I am telling you its worth to buy.

The story goes like this. A girl born from a fisherfolk has dreamt to be a flyer. Which is impossible cause wing are only passed to their heir but then a miracle happen. One flyer, Russ, stumbled upon Maris and adopted her. She was to be the heir to RUss until his wife bore a child. Then that is how the story began. Maris fights for the wings that is supposed to be his stepbrother, Coll. She insist that Coll doesnt want to be a flyer, which is true. She is stating that the traditions should not always be followed. A council was made. Then everything was changed. For the next and next and next..so on generation.
She was a hero especially for those who are not born flyers. She was loved dearly by old generation of flyers. She was famous to windhaven.
She is the girl who changed the world.

You should read this. it is not a typical girl and story.
buy it if ever you came upon it.

Magic! Let your fantasy fly along with Maris and the Flyers of Windhaven. Windhaven, where tradition and hereditary rights have ruled since the wings where fashioned. Where one must be born into the cast of Flyers to be able to soar. Where Maris dares to challenge inheritance and changes forever the status quo. A book that has stayed with me long after the first read. Go out there and buy it - you wont regret it.
